Summer Camp
Multiple Weeks for Primary Students
HCS offers multiple, one-week topic-based summer camps for primary students every year. Our camps are designed to be entertaining and educational. We incorporate the Montessori methods in the presentation of creative and fun themes.
Enrollment Begins Feb 23, 2023
Current students and Alumni students are encouraged to register.
Registration Requirements
All children must have previously attended Hagerstown Children’s School and be 3-6 (summer after completing Kindergarten) years old
If you have had a break in attendance, an updated copy of your child’s health and emergency forms must be submitted before the first day of camp.
All children must be independent in the bathroom.
Schedule
Each camp day is Monday – Friday, for a full day (8:30 - 3:30) session. The Before and After School Care program is not open for the summer program schedule. Lunches are not provided, please pack your child's lunch.
2023 Primary Camp Dates
June 12th - 16th: "Down on the Farm"
We will be growing our appreciation of the life sustaining contribution of the farmer as we engage in activities that relate to agriculture, animal science and healthy living during this week of fun and learning.
June 19th - 23rd: "To the Moon and Beyond"
Campers will become astronauts in training as they learn about and participate in hands on activities about the sun, moon, planets, and the life of an astronaut.
July 10th - 14th: "Dinosaur Adventure"
join our expedition into the Jurassic World where we will discover the fantastic animals that roamed the earth millions of years ago.
July 17th-21st: "Back to the Outback"
We will discover the many unique animals, topography, and cultural aspects of the country/continent of Australia.
August 7th - 11th: "The Deep Blue Sea”
Dive into the amazing world of marine life with hands-on science and art activities that help students understand the diverse ecosystem in the world’s oceans.
