Summer Camp
Multiple Weeks for Primary Students
HCS offers multiple, one-week topic-based summer camps for primary students every year. Our camps are designed to be entertaining and educational. We incorporate the Montessori methods in the presentation of creative and fun themes.

Current students and Alumni students are encouraged to register.
Registration Requirements
All children must have previously attended Hagerstown Children’s School and be 3-6 (summer after completing Kindergarten) years old
If you have had a break in attendance, an updated copy of your child’s health and emergency forms must be submitted before the first day of camp.
All children must be independent in the bathroom.
Schedule
Each camp day is Monday – Friday, for a full day (8:30 - 3:30) session. The Before and After School Care program are not open for the summer program schedule. Lunches are not provided, please pack your child's lunch.
2024 Primary Camp Dates
June 17th - 21st: “Snakes, Frogs, and Lizards, Oh My!”
This camp will explore the characteristics, life cycle, and habitat of reptiles and amphibians.
June 24th - 28th: “Egypt - Yesterday and Today”
Ancient Egypt to the Egypt of today. We will learn about the typography, the people, the landmarks, and the climate that make Egypt and unique and exciting country.
July 8th - 12th: “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles”
Get on the bus and learn all about the ways people have developed travel on the land, in the air, and on the water.
July 15th - 19th: “The End”
We will be exploring the literature of 4 great children’s authors: Eric Carle, Laura Numeroff, Dr. Seuss, and Ezra Jack Keats.
August 5th - 9th: “Beyond My Plate”
Food in = Energy out. We will learn about where our food comes from and how to make smart food choices that promote sustained energy, health, and growth.
