History

Hagerstown Children's School was founded in 1994 by a group of local families that came together to create a unique program that focused on providing quality early childhood education based on the Montessori philosophy.  Those founding families worked for many years to lay the foundation of a strong organization that could meet the growing needs of the tristate area well into the future.  

We have since grown from a one room preschool serving 20 students a year to 5 classrooms that currently serve more that 120 students, 2 years old through kindergarten.  As the need for quality early childhood education increases and the demand for our unique style of programming expands we plan to continue to broaden our student population and provide a Montessori based education to more children.
